C I R C U L A R

 

Inspite of repeated instructions and directives to the Officers of the Roads and Bridges Department to refrain from situations requiring revision of project estimates, the same are being submitted to the Head Officer on a regular basis, inviting criticism from every quarter. The Government has passed severe strictures against the Department for resorting to revision of project estimates on a routine basis rather as exceptions to the rule.

Accordingly, it has been directed by the Government that submission of revised proposals shall be viewed seriously in future and responsibilities fixed on the concerned officers. The preparation of DPRs should be comprehensive and should include all the projects being executed by the Department.
   
  The contents of the Circular may be brought to the notice of all the field Engineers for their strict compliance in future.
