ADMINISTRATIVE SET UP OF THE DEPARTMENT

 

The administrative set up of the department is briefly described as below, the department has the following different cells:

1. Civil Engineering Cell.

2. Mechanical Engineering Cell.

3. Planning Cell.
4. Store Cell.
5. Administrative Cell.
6. Accounts /Finance Cell.


The Civil Engineering Cell Consists of Chief Engineer, Additional Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, Divisional Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers and Supervisors. The principal Chief Engineer-cum-Secretary is the administrative head of the department.

 

The Mechanical Cell is under the overall administrative control of the Principal Chief Engineer- cum-Secretary and the cell is being headed by the Chief Engineer (Mech/store.) who is assisted by Additional Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineer (Mech.), Divisional Engineer (Mech.), Assistant Engineer (Mech.) and a host of supervisors, Machine Operators etc. Mechanical Cell is responsible for maintenance and operation of machineries and equipment.

 

The store is also under the overall administrative control of the Principal Chief Engineer-cum-Secretary assisted by the Chief Engineer (Mech/store) who is supported by Additional Chief Engineer (Store), Divisional Engineers with supporting Assistant Engineer and store accounts section is looking after the store cell. The area of responsibilities of this cell is to procure and issue constructional stock material.

 

The Additional Secretary presently heads the Administrative Wing, who is assisted by the Joint Secretary, Joint Director, Under Secretary, Office Superintendent, Head Assistant and a host of other ministerial staff

 
 

The Chief Accounts Officer heads the Finance Cell, who is assisted by Senior Accounts Officer. The Supporting staff consists of Accounts Officers, Senior Accountants, Accountants, Junior Accountants and Accounts Clerks. The area of responsibility is to maintain the accounts of the department as well as to guide in various financial matters.
